The Protective and Therapeutic Effects of Kanglaite Injection on Leukopenia Induced by Chemotherapy

The protection effect of KLT via iv infusion for leukopenia induced by harringtonine and CTX was studied. The mice were divided randomly into 7 groups: harringtonine 1 mg/kg (ip x 1, 5, 9) + KLT 12.5ml/kg (iv x 7), harringtonine 1mg/kg (ip x 1, 5, 9) + KLT 6.25 ml/kg (10 x 7), CTX 45mg/kg (ip x 1, 5, 9) + KLT 6.25 ml/kg (iv x 7), harringtonine 1 mg/kg (ip x 1, 5, 9), CTX 45mg/kg (ip x 1, 5, 9) for blank control respectively. WBC counts were examined on days 0, 3, 6, 9,12,15,18, 21 and 24. Add 0.38ml WBC diluting solution to each tube. The blood of mice was collected through the eye canthus of the animals then transfer 20 ul of the blood to each tank separately. Shaken evenly and count WBC on blood cell counting plate.
